William (Bill) Solari started his drum corps career at the age of 7 with the Amvet Drum and Bugle Corps from Randolph, Massachusetts. From there he marched in various Massachusetts Drum Corps for a span of 14 years concluding his last 4 years as a member of the 27th Lancers Drum and Bugle Corps from Revere, Massachusetts. After completing his marching career, he went on to teach as a member of the brass staff of the Lancers until their final year of performing in 1986. 


He has also taught East Coast Jazz, The Spartans Drum and Bugle Corps, The Burlington Citations, along with various marching bands throughout Massachusetts.

Bill served as a member of the 567th Air Force Band for 10 years as the principle Euphonium player. He also played trombone in the Jazz Band, and tuba in the Dixieland band where he was the NCO in charge of that group. 


In 1992 Bill returned to his former high school in East Bridgewater, Massachusetts where he became a music staff member before becoming the Marching Band Director from 2001-2008.


From 2009-2015, Bill served as Program Coordinator for the Joseph Case Marching Band where he proudly joined the staff and students in continuing musical excellence. He returned in 2018 and is currently still in that position. 


In 2012 Bill was inducted into the Massachusetts Music Educators Hall of Fame and currently is a member in good standing of the Massachusetts Judges Association.


Presently he is a music judge for the Maine Band Directors Association, the New England Scholastic Band Association and US Bands.
