Mark Maguire studied Music Education at the University of Rhode Island, Summa Cum Laude with Honors. At URI, Mark was a Centennial Scholar, was awarded the Presser Scholarship Award, and won the Concerto Competition performing with the URI Symphony Orchestra. Mark currently lives in Providence, RI where he works as a Middle School Band Director.
Outside of the school day, Mark has been the Staff Coordinator and Visual Designer for the 7th Regiment, a DCI Semi-Finalist and Open Class Finalist, since 2012. Mark has also taught The Jersey Surf and The Cadets.
Mark is also the visual caption head at King Philip Regional High School. The KP Marching Band is a Bands of America Northeast Regional Champion, USBands National Champion, and 30 Time MICCA Gold Medalist.
Mark is a freelance drill designer working with various high school in New England and has worked with both scholastic and independent winter guards in the Northeast, currently with Blessed Sacrament Open.
Mark has judged in the USBands and MAC circuits since 2012.
