JP has been involved in the marching arts since his own Middle/High School days with the Blackstone Millville Marching Band. Currently in his 19th year as a Music Educator in the state of Massachusetts, JP has taught at the Elementary, Middle, and High School levels within instrumental, general, and choral instruction. Outside of his classroom responsibilities, JP has remained active in the marching arts as a former assistant director as well as visual instructor within the Blackstone Millville Regional High School, Acton Boxborough Regional HS, and North Middlesex Regional High School. Active in the state of Massachusetts, he has been on the executive board of the Central District Massachusetts Music Educators Association for the past 10 years and will assume the role of Chairperson for the association this Fall. JP began pursuing his judging instruction during the winter of 2020, but was cut short due to the Covid Pandemic. He completed his trialing in the Fall of 2021 and completed his Visual Certification. Outside of school, JP enjoys spending time with his wife who is also an educator, along with his son Ben, and their two dogs Charlie and Neely.
