Jim Vitagliano, MJA member wrote this about Tom:

"Tom embodies the spirit of this award at all times!  His long time experience as both an educator and judge have consistently shown his outstanding commitment to our activity.  When you read the criteria for this award, Tom clearly meets that criteria and in my opinion, surpasses it!  His love and passion come through in all    that he does.  While he is understated many times, his impact has been and is still powerful.  He has had such a dramatic impact on so many groups though both his teaching and judging and he continues to contribute a great deal.  It has been a pleasure working with, being adjudicated by, and just knowing this most deserving man!"
