2020 "Frankie" Award Recipient

The 2020 recipient is

Jim Vitagliano.

Congratulations to our fourth winner!

Chris Correia, MJA member wrote this about Jim:

"Always going above and beyond in the background of every facet of MJA has been a vocal and silent leader in James V. Vitagliano.  After leading this organization as President for 12 years, Jim has remained a vital force in keeping MJA relevant and up with the times as far as communication, fundraising, and with the scholarship program.  Jim has also kept MJA relevant within itself, always reminding us to adhere to the visions and principles which have kept this organization a force for so many years.  If there were ever and example of what somebody on the MJA Executive Board, and a model adjudicator, it would be James Vitagliano.  In my humble estimation, the organization would not be where it is now without his tireless efforts throughout the years up to and including 2020.  Thank you for your consideration of this nomination."

Jerry Glover, MJA member wrote this about Jim:

Jim has been involved in the activity for fifty years. He has dedicated himself in many roles as a member, instructor, director, judge and twelve years as MJA president.

Throughout the many years I have known Jim he has always been the person you could count on for anything that would benefit the activity. (and yes he did dress up as Cupid to raise funds for The Avilaros)

Volunteering his time and knowledge unselfishly as many of us can account to, he has helped multiple people and organizations succeed.

I feel this recognition is long overdue.

Frankie would be proud to see Jim Vitagliano as a Frankie Award recipient."
